HUMANITY STILL PREVAILS IN KASHMIR.

The same NEWS is being narrated completely from a different angle by the anchors of two different nations, bringing in a completely different dimension to it.

Civilians being the easy consumers are deceived into believe only in facts they want us to believe…..be it right or wrong.
Even our sense of reasoning is controlled by the so called fourth pillar of our democracy: the media.

The scene of unrest that has been prevailing in the Kashmir Valley for over a few months now, has been portrayed in two different shades by both the countries ( here I am not judging either of them).

It is evident that on one side of the border, the unrest in Kashmir is being portrayed as oppression being meted out by the Government on the citizens of the Valley who are fighting hard for their Freedom (Pakistan Media). On the other side, this news is being showed on the basis of so called ground realities, where the youth are being paid or misguided by some religious or anti-government elements to create hindrance to routine life (Indian Media).

On one side, throwing pellets by the youth is being depicted as a sign of anger and rage, where on the other; it is being depicted as a paid act of cowardice by the alien bodies.

Due to the physical limitations and patriotism to our respective nations, we are bound to believe only in one of these scripted stories.

Such biased media which add all the fancy elements to fuel the controversy only ends up triggering enmity in both the nation with ones’ country being perceived as the hero. But even after this, truth surfaces no matter what.

And this time the truth is HUMANITY.

Humanity which rises above all, thrashing even the ALAGAWADI or joint separatist leadership, who preach their hatred, be it through politics, or religion.

The latest incident, where the youth of Lasjan area on the Srinagar-Jammu highway risked their lives to rescue an Indian Army driver from the mangled remains of his vehicle after it met with an accident on 9th of October speaks a lot.

“The damaged vehicle was on a downward slope, and an electric cable had fallen on it. The driver was stuck inside. Fortunately for us, many local residents-including women- came out to save the jawan,” said an army spokesperson posted in Srinagar.

The examples are many, even in this very year, we witnessed a brilliant display of humanity and brotherhood when local people in Bijbehara rushed to help a group of Amarnath pilgrims after their bus met with an accident.

Although these type of incidences will be forecasted by the media of only one country(India), still it will be enough…. enough to slam those leaders of separatist parties right on their faces.

Even without taking into account the media houses, the inevitable truth prevails that the local residents are fed up with the curfew which has been overshadowing this area for long. The trade has come to a standstill and this has eventually compelled the traders to come out of their house and protest against those ALAGAWADI Netas or Separatists to whom they were once forced to render support.

The main problem of all this unrest in this part of India can be traced back into past. It should be admitted that the Central Government till date has failed to bring Kashmir in the lime light. This has created a sense of negligence and ignorance amongst the civilians of the area which has given birth to those ALAGAWADI Netas taking advantage of the situation. This Leaders are mostly driven by personal agendas, with some, even supporting Pakistani and others being with opposition parties to weaken the ruling Government.

Sending these leaders to Pakistan may indeed look like a solution to the problem but in reality this will replace them with new sets of leader to for the old ones.

A simple but effective way of tackling this problem is to show them the actual pictures of these two nations (India and Pakistan) – how people dwell in these two countries, the level of independence that prevails in every nook and corner of both the countries and also the role undertaken by the respective Government of both these nations in fighting the actual enemy of our present i.e. Terrorism.

To understand the real cause of a country (Pakistan) who is already suffering from its own internal problems, is talking in world stage to bring peace in a foreign land or is it actually looking for some economic benefits and a short access to its master (China).
